| There are several systems that can be put into place when trying to control an infestation of: Feral Pigeons / Starlings etc.
Bird Control - Netting Systems
When any system of bird control netting is put into position correctly, it would form the most effective method of preventing the problem birds from gaining access to any given area.
The type of net to be used would depend on the species of bird causing the problem: 19mm - Sparrows, 30mm - Starlings, 50mm netting - Pigeons.
The colour of the netting would also be a factor, black netting is the norm, but stone coloured and clear netting can be used, useful when a particular building dictates this. We would recommend this system for all heavily infested areas.
Bird Control - Anti-Roosting Spike Systems
The use of Stainless Steel or clear Plastic spikes to a plastic base and affixed to the surface of window sills / pipe work, will usually deter a light to medium infestation of for instance, a Feral Pigeon infestation. The heavy duty plastic base of the spike system can be snapped into any lengths, useful for nooks and crannies, and any length of our spikes can be affixed into position using a silicone based adhesive or screwed into position if wooden surfaces dictate.
Bird Control - Clearance of Bird Fouling
The risks from bird dropping are well documented, Ornithosis is one of the most commonly known, it is an acute infectious disease caused by the bacterium 'Chlamydia psittaci', this thrives in the guts of infected birds and can be passed onto humans via the birds faeces and eye / nasal secretions.
We provide initially an anti-bacterial spray solution onto all the affected areas that are to be cleaned / cleared, only then can we safely remove all bulk fouling and nesting materials, which often also include many dead and decaying carcases.
